THE PROJECT
"Pick Your Poison," an animated music video for I-D, a fictional K-pop group born from the
universe of Dungeon Fighter Online, one of the most famous online RPGs in the world. Set to a
song by the group R.E.D. featuring guitarist Jason Richardson, the film pairs the freedom of a 3D
camera with a highly graphic cel-shaded aesthetic, in a hybrid 2D/3D style. Directed by Ninoc
Studio, with creative direction by Potion Projects and 3D/VFX production by Circus, the video was
selected at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival 2026, in the Video Game Cinematics
and Trailers category.
MY ROLE
I worked on this project at two levels. Paired with Jean-Baptiste Azière, the project's 3D supervisor, I handled the entire previsualization of the video: translating Ninoc's 2D animatic into 3D, shot by shot, to lock down staging, camera work, and pacing ahead of production. I then moved onto production itself, where I took on the final modeling of several sets: the building with the gargoyle, the shipwreck, and the dungeon with its staircase and two of its levels, each treated in its own distinct style. I also modeled the hair for the main characters. Everything was built in Maya, ZBrush, and Blender. This previs and modeling project ties into my modeling work for animation and video game cinematics, in a register close to what I did on Sur Mesure.
