A 3D generalist ready to adapt to any type of production.

I'm Raphaël Guez, a 3D generalist. I started out as a rigger, then widened my skill set to build a solid asset from start to finish: modelling, sculpting, retopology, UV unwrapping, hand-painted or procedural textures, and rigging. Everything needed to deliver clean models that are ready to drop straight into production.

I later broadened my scope again. Today I also build complete scenes, from lighting to rendering and compositing, which makes me fully self-sufficient on a freelance brief. I cut my teeth in advertising, film and television, within studios such as Framestore, Pixomondo and The Mill, before opening my work to every kind of production where my skills have a place, from video games to event scenography.

I started out as a rigging specialist. I was good at it, but boxed in: I wanted my hands on everything else. Previs opened that door, and I became what I am today, a 3D generalist, equally at home sculpting a character or building an environment, working in stylized or photorealistic styles.

How I Work

My approach adapts to each production, but the principle stays the same. I always begin with a quick first pass, to show clearly where I'm heading. Once that intent is validated by the supervisor or the client, I refine, keeping constant communication to make sure I'm matching the brief at every step.

Feedback is never a problem for me. As long as it's constructive and moves the project forward, I take it as a working tool, not as criticism. I'm approachable and easy to work with, and I always look for the most sensible solution to the surprises that come up during production. When a project matters to me and I feel an extra effort will make the difference, I give it without counting.

What Drives Me

I have always been passionate about moving images—whether in films, series, advertising, or video games. I am drawn to creative, imaginative worlds—the kind that make you want to believe in them. As a child, I was captivated by *Star Wars*, *The Matrix*, *The Lord of the Rings*, and Disney animated films—so much so that I turned this passion into my career. That same desire to bring these worlds to life is what drives me to keep improving today.

Let's work together

You can reach me by email or phone for any project involving 3D—whether it’s film, TV series, advertising, events, video games, or more. Whether you need a project managed from start to finish or support for a specific stage of the pipeline—such as modeling, texturing, or rigging, either individually or combined—I adapt to your needs and integrate seamlessly into existing teams.

I also have a genuine interest in new technologies. I never hesitate to explore a new technique or piece of software, provided it helps me produce better images.

What Drives Me

I've been passionate about the moving image for as long as I can remember, whether film, television, advertising or video games. What draws me in are creative, imaginary worlds, the ones that make you want to believe in them. As a child I was struck by Star Wars, The Matrix, The Lord of the Rings and Disney's animated films, to the point of making it my career. I also have a genuine appetite for new technology. I never hesitate to explore a technique or a piece of software I don't yet know, as soon as it can help me produce better images.
