THE PROJECT
An Oasis commercial for the launch of its peach-flavored Ice Tea range. The film leans into the idea
of "chill": the P'tits Fruits, the brand's iconic mascots, take a relaxing break in a soft, natural setting,
where the peach lazily drifts along the water, carried by a swirl of tea leaves. Greenery, gentle light
and fruity humor make up a soothing world, true to the playful, offbeat spirit of Oasis.

MY ROLE
I handled the entire character creation for the film, from the first shape to the animation-ready asset.
Modeling and sculpting were done in Maya and ZBrush, with particular care given to surfacing so
the fruits had the right volume and feel. I then painted their textures in Substance Painter and
Photoshop. For the rigging, I built the body rigs along with an advanced facial animation setup: a
controller system coupled with blendshapes, designed to give animators maximum freedom over
expressions. I carried out this same full modeling, texturing and rigging work on the tea leaves seen
on screen, so they could be animated smoothly in motion. Rendering was handled in Arnold.
Working on such recognizable characters meant staying faithful to their identity while delivering
clean assets that were comfortable to animate. That's the same care I brought to my character work for advertising, notably on Oasis x McDonald's, where the same mascots had to fit into a whole new setting."
